Friday, March 7^th

Today you depart the United States on your overnight flight to Italy.  Naturally, meals will be served and optional in-flight entertainment offered.  Please refer to your flight schedule for pertinent details.

 

Saturday, March 8^th

Upon arrival to Rome you will be met and transferred to your hotel with a visit to Ostia Antica en-route.  After leaving your luggage at the hotel you will enjoy a guided walking tour of modern Rome.  Dinner tonight is included.

 

Sunday, March 9^th

This morning begins with a guided city tour of ancient Rome including the Colosseum, Forum, San Clemente and Trajan’s Market.  The remainder of the day you will explore Rome with your tour leader.  Dinner tonight is not included.

 

Monday, March 10^th

This morning you transfer by private coach to Florence.  En-route you will visit the Etruscan Tombs at Tarquinia and explore Siena.  Dinner tonight is included.

 

Tuesday, March 11^th

Enjoy a morning guided city tour including the Academia to see Michelangelo’s statue of “David” followed by the Duomo and Baptistry.  In the afternoon you will optionally explore the Uffizi Gallery. Dinner tonight is included.

 

Wednesday, March 12^th

Today you transfer to Nice, France, with a visit to the Cinque Terra en-route.  Dinner tonight is included.

 

Thursday, March 13^th

The promenade, beach, shopping at Cours Saleya and visiting the Chagall and Matisse museums are planned for today.  At 4:30 pm you board your bus for transfer to Nice train station and departure to Paris.  You should plan to purchase dinner on the train.

Upon arrival you transfer to your hotel.

 

Friday, March 14^th

This morning you will enjoy a guided city tour of Paris.  The day continues with a visit to the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Tuileries and the Champs-Elysees.  Dinner is not included.  Tonight you view the “City of Light” on a Siene River Cruise.

 

Saturday, March 15^th

This morning you travel outside of Paris to the Palace of Versailles.  Following your audio-guided tour you return to Paris where there will be time to shop and perhaps go to Montmartre to see Sacre Coeur and the artists at Place du Tertre.  Dinner tonight is included.

 

 

Sunday, March 16^th

At 7:15 am you transfer to de Gaulle Airport and board your flight back the Philadelphia.
