Classic London & Paris Plus

Euro-American Tours is pleased to offer you and your students the "Classic Plus" European experience:

The Classic London and Paris PLUS your choice of Amsterdam, Rome, Madrid or Lucerne.

Plus Amsterdam

Day 7 - From Paris the morning train carries you to Amsterdam, a 7oo year-old city of canals, ornate bridges, superb architecture, and fine Art. The Riijk's Museum*, Anne Frank's House*, Rembrandt's Home*, and the flower market are the highlights available to visit with your tour director in the afternoon.

Day 8 - What better way to see a city of canals and bridges than by boat. Cruise past some of Amsterdam's great 17th century mansions, built during Holland's Golden Age when Dutch businessmen dominated global commerce. Some of these houses are restaurants and some are museums. After the cruise, visit a master diamond-cutter's workshop.

Day 9 - Morning takes you into the Dutch countryside, past windmills and tulip farms to the Zaanse Schans Museum Village. A working Dutch village frozen in time, the citizens here make cheese and clogs in the old way. Naturally, time will be allotted for last minute shopping and sightseeing.

Day 10 - Depart Amsterdam for your home.

Plus rome

Day 7 - After sleeping on your train from Paris, discover Rome in the morning. Your explorations begin from your hotel with a walking tour led by your local tour director through the streets of Europe's most ancient and romantic city.

Day 8 - Your morning begins with a city tour, led by a local certified guide, to such landmarks as the Colosseum, Pantheon, Roman Forum, and the Piazza Navona. Time in the afternoon to shop or people watch from a table at a sidewalk cafe.

Day 9 - Following breakfast, a visit to Vatican City to view the ineffable beauty of Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel and the collection of the Vatican Museum*. An afternoon option takes you via the Appian Way to visit the Catacombs.

Day 10 - Depart Rome for your home.

Plus Madrid

Day 7 - Upon arrival to Madrid, enjoy a morning tour of the city, visiting landmarks such as the Royal Palace, Plaza Espana, Cibeles Fountain and Plaza Major. In the afternoon, time for shopping, resting or personal exploration.

Day 8 - Madrid, the city that in the 16th century was the richest and most powerful capital in Europe, is awaiting your visit. The morning is devoted to the Prado Museum. Spend the afternoon with your tour guide exploring "Old Madrid" with such gems as the Puerta del Sol.

Day 9 - After breakfast, we will visit nearby Toledo, a city so important to Spain's history it is preserved as a national monument. Within the walls of Toledo are some of the finest examples of gothic cathedral architecture in Europe, including the Church of Santo Tome. Other points of interest include El Esorial, the Valley of the Fallen, and the home of El Greco, one of Spain's greatest artists.

Plus Lucerne

Day 7 - Some of Europe's most spectacular scenery will glide past your window as the train carries you east from Paris, past glistening lakes and ice capped peaks, into the Swiss Alps. After arriving in Lucerne, your afternoon begins with lunch and continues with a stroll through this peaceful Swiss city.

Day 8 - A walking tour, led by your tour director, takes you to such sites as the Lion Monument, the Chapel Bridge, and the city's historic cathedral. Use your free time in the afternoon to sample some famous Swiss chocolate. Or you may opt for a cruise on Lake Lucerne or a visit to the city's famed Transportation Museum.

Day 9 - Today delivers your Alpine adventure. You may opt to visit Mt. Titlis, central Switzerland's highest peak with year-round snow. Upon your return to Lucerne, you may linger over a traditional Swiss Fondue dinner or visit a local folklore show.

Day 10 - Travel to Zurich to connect with your flight home.
