DAY 1: This morning your group will depart early on your private motor-coach for Pensacola, Florida. There is no place better to
start your Florida-Spanish Heritage Trail tour than at Fort Barrancos, the historic American military fort in Pensacola. Dinner is included
at a local restaurant. Your group may wish to participate in the "light of the moon tour" which features stories from lighthouse
keepers passed down from generation to generation. You will check into your Pensacola hotel this evening.
DAY 2: This morning highlights the history of the Spanish discovery of Florida with visits to The Historic Pensacola Village and
the Pensacola Historic Museum. You will have lunch in a local restaurant before a noon departure for Tallahassee, Florida. Upon arrival in
Tallahassee, you will take a self-guided tour of the Capitol which showcases exhibits about Florida politics. The group will enjoy a
relaxing dinner in Tallahassee before checking into the hotel.
DAY 3: Before departing Tallahassee, you will enjoy a visit to the Governor's Mansion, known as "The People's House of
Florida". Your guide will tell you about the history of the six state rooms of the mansion. Following your Governor's Mansion visit,
you will depart at approximately 10:00 a.m. for St. Augustine, Florida. Upon arrival, you will meet your guide for a tour of Castillo de San
Marcos. Afterwards, you will visit The Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park where Spanish Explorer Pedro Menedez de Aviles established
the first and oldest European settlement in the United States. After dinner, your group will take a candle-lit ghost tour.
DAY 4: This morning is dedicated to many of St. Augustine's historic sights such as The Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse and St.
Augustine Lighthouse and Museum, which features a lighthouse tower climb and guided museum visit. After lunch, you will enjoy the remainder
of your day shopping along St. George Street.
DAY 5: This morning a visit is planned to The Old Florida Archaeological Museum which includes a unique opportunity to enjoy the HANDS ON
programs featuring the Timucua Indian, Spanish, Pioneer and Archaeology exhibits. You may choose to take one program or all four. After a
quick lunch, you will return home, taking with you unforgettable memories of your incredible journey.
