DAY 1: Depart the United States from your departure city on your flight to Shannon, Ireland. Meals will be served and optional inflight entertainment will be offered.
DAY 2-3: Upon arrival in Shannon, you will transfer to the quaint and picturesque town of Killarney. Situated in a lush area of lakes, mountains, and green countryside, you will enjoy a sightseeing "walk" of this lovely village. A trip to Ireland would not be complete without a drive around the Ring of Kerry. A dramatic drive along this piece of land jutting out into the Atlantic features some of the most breathtaking scenery found anywhere in the world.
DAY 4: You will travel to the famous Irish landmark called Blarney Castle, known as the place where one acquires the gift of eloquence by kissing the famed Blarney Stone on the castle's uppermost walls. Your visit to Blarney Castle will certainly prove to be a highlight of your trip. Your adventure continues as you travel to Dublin. Here you will see such sites as St. Patrick's Cathedral, O'Connell Street, Trinity College, Grafton Street, and the Dublin Castle. Later, you will say farewell to Ireland as you depart for the exciting city of London, England.
DAY 5-7: Your city tour in London boasts such sites as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, the changing of the guard, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Piccadilly Circus, the Tower Bridge, and Hyde Park. These are but a few of the sights awaiting you in London. The city offers history and pageantry, museums and theaters, teashops, the British Museum, and shopping at Harrods and Selfridges. A visit to the Tower of London, where you will view the fabulous Crown Jewels, is a must for all visitors. In the evening, you may select one of the many excellent theatrical productions in the West End.
DAY 8: Plan a full-day excursion outside of London to Stratford Upon Avon where you can see Shakespeare's home and Ann Hathaway's cottage. Schedule a brief stop along the way in the famous university town of Oxford.
DAY 9: Depart London and travel by express train to Edinburgh, Scotland. Known as the "Prince of Cities," Edinburgh offers you such sightseeing as Edinburgh Castle, Charlotte Square, Princess Street Gardens, St. Giles Cathedral, and the Holyroodhouse, the celebrated royal palace.
DAY 10-11: After breakfast, take a walk down The Royal Mile, the Old Town's famous thoroughfare. It will introduce you to such places as the Royal Museum of Scotland, the Huntly House, the People's Story, a history of Edinburgh life seen through the eyes of its inhabitants, and Camera Obscura, located at the top of the Outlook Tower. One evening, you may enjoy an optional traditional Scottish dinner banquet.
DAY 12: Depart Europe for the United States, taking with you treasured memories for a lifetime.
