DAY 1: Depart the United States for Europe, traveling overnight from your departure city to Rome, Italy. Meals will be served and optional inflight entertainment will be offered.

DAY 2-5: Upon arrival in Rome you will transfer to Florence. Florence, home of the Renaissance, will thrill you with its treasures. During a walking tour of the city, you will see many of the important sights of this historic town including Michelangelo's "David," Santa Maria Novella, the Duomo, and the eight-sided Baptistery. You may enjoy a visit to the Church of San Lorenzo, which houses Michelangelo's tombs of the Medici, and works by Donatello. Highlights include visiting the Uffizi Gallery, shopping in the Straw Market (an open-air market), visiting a leather factory, and strolling across the Ponte Vecchio to see the gold and silver shops. Additional optional sightseeing excursions to Siena, Perugia, and Pisa are also offered.

DAY 6: Plan an optional full day excursion to Venice with its 118 islands, 160 canals, and 400 bridges. Your visit will include such sites as St. Mark's Cathedral, the colorful Doge's Palace, and the famous Bell Tower in St. Mark's Square.

DAY 7-9: Depart Florence for travel to Rome. Rome the "Eternal City" and capital of Italy, is a magnificent city built on seven hills and is literally layers of history - one civilization built on top of another. Twentieth century Rome is a breathtaking mixture of ruins and monuments, fantastic fountains, beautiful piazzas, and innumerable museums. The Forum, Colosseum, St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain are but a few of the sites awaiting your arrival.

DAY 10: Plan a full day excursion to Pompeii, where the ancient Roman Empire speaks directly to you with its everyday life and real people frozen in time since its burial by Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. You will see 2,000 year-old take-out restaurants, frescoes, mosaics, and ancient graffiti. After this incredible journey, you will return to Rome for the night.

DAY 11: Depart Italy for your flight to the United States, taking with you unforgettable memories of your incredible journey.
